KVS Availability Tool



Privacy & Security:
  • The Tool does not contain any adware, spyware, or similar revenue-generating junk.
  • Your availability queries go straight to the webservers handling them, not to any central server.
  • No personal info is ever sent with those queries that would allow someone to associate you with your requests.
  • Info on users, who have made a contribution, is stored in a private off-line database.
  • Any contact info collected will only be used to contact you with important information about the Tool. No info is ever shared with any 3rd party.
  • For contributions received by postal mail, envelopes and other documents containing personal info (e.g. name/address of the sender) are securely destroyed.
  • The saved PNRs in the PNR manager are stored on your computer. When you retrieve a PNR, the request is sent directly to the corresponding GDS system's website over a secure connection.

Digital Signature (Optional):
To be able to verify the authenticity of the downloaded files, you can install the Digital Certificate by following these steps:
    • If using Microsoft Internet Explorer: Select [Open] when prompted
    • If using any other browser: Save the .CER file to a temporary folder, then run it from there

  1. Click [Install Certificate] on the Certificate Info screen. The Certificate Import Wizard should lanuch.
  2. When prompted, select the [Place Certificate in the following store] option, click [Browse], and select [Trusted Root Certification Authorities].
  3. After verifying that the [Thumbprint] reads 6813C193 FF6F883F 0F7D3951 FC438EFE B4CB3BA8, answer [Yes] on the Warning dialog.
Once the Digital Certificate has been installed on your machine, you can verify the authenticity of the downloaded files:
  • Click [Download] on the Tool's homepage

  • If using Microsoft Internet Explorer (Version 6.0 XPSP2 or higher) on Windows XP:
    • Select [Run] when prompted
    • If the downloaded file is authentic, Publisher: KVS Availability Tool Signer will be displayed

  • If using any other browser, or running Windows Vista:
    • Select [Save To Disk] when prompted
    • Locate the downloaded setup file in Windows Explorer
    • Right-click and select Properties, then Digital Signatures
    • Select the signature from the list and click Details
    • If the downloaded file is authentic, This digital certificate is OK and Name: KVS Availability Tool Signer will be displayed
